Welcome to the website of the Southern Calvert Land Trust (SCLT).

| | | | The trust was organized and registered in the State of Maryland in 2001 by a group of local county residents who
were concerned about the rapid pace of development in southern Calvert County and were desirous of maintaining the character
and ecological health of the area. The goals of the trust are:
The
preservation of open space lands, both large and small parcels, in Southern Calvert
The promotion of wise land use through education and scientific study;
and The enrichment of the lives of Southern Calvert County residents through preservation of ecologically
important open space and wetlands. |
